Teachvatory has a fresh look.

October 2026. Your courses and settings are just as you left them. Here is everything that changed for the teaching team.

A new look

  • A calm paper and graphite theme: Graphite by day and Chalk by night, following your computer’s setting. You can still pick any theme in Workspace settings, Appearance.
  • New type: Fraunces for headings and Hanken Grotesk for everything you read and scan.
  • A refined “teachvatory” wordmark beside the keystone.
  • Small pencil drawings where a page is empty or waiting.

Quicker

  • Switching between views is instant.
  • Reopening the app shows the latest results right away while it refreshes in the background.
  • Google Sheets results appear first; Canvas and Teachly are added as they arrive.
  • Loading says what it is doing, for example “Reading 12 of 30 assignments”. It never goes blank.

Morning Brief

  • It reads as a page for your day: a greeting, then cards for Needs attention, Overnight activity, Students to check on and What students are saying.
  • Submission rates and trends are correct, and assignments not yet open are left out.

Student Attention and Roster

  • Both show the whole table, with the header staying in view as you scroll.

Response matching

  • A response typed under a preferred or different name can be linked to the right student in one step, with a suggestion. The counts update immediately.

Action Center

  • Analyze runs cleanly from start to finish.
  • Feedback is sorted into clear cards: disclosures, logistics, process questions and kind words.

Newer AI models

  • The AI features now use the latest models. From OpenAI: GPT-6 Luna (fast, the new default), GPT-6.1 Sol (balanced) and GPT-6 Astra (flagship).
  • From Anthropic: Claude Haiku 5.5 (fast), Claude Sonnet 5.5 (balanced) and Claude Opus 5.5 (flagship).
  • If you had picked a model before, you have been moved to the same provider’s newer version. Your saved choice and your own API keys keep working.

Getting started

  • Adding a first course is a short guided flow.

Your work on every computer

  • Settings, drafts, analyses and Morning Brief history sync to your other computers piece by piece. Saving no longer runs out of room, and edits made on two computers at once are both kept.

Smaller touches

  • Refresh sits next to the “last refreshed” time.
  • Export looks the same everywhere.
  • The sidebar collapses smoothly.
